WE ARE RECRUITING AN ACCOUNTANT
Job Title: Accountant for SOS Children’s Villages Liberia
HE/SHE reports: Finance & Controlling Manager
Period: 1 year (December, 1st 2024 -November 30, 2025)
Position Summary
· To coordinate & provide needed support to all program finance activities and provide a technical support role to all assigned project/program accountants.

Mission of the position
- A highly experienced and competent accountant with excellent mathematical accounting, bookkeeping and computing software skills.
- Computer literacy to use SOS Global Accounting software.
- Excellent organizational and communicative skills.
- Honesty, integrity, trustworthiness, and ability to treat all information in the outmost confidentiality.
- A strong firm approach dealing with difficult personnel (e.g. staff and parents/guardians).
- Is directly responsible to the Finance and Controlling Manager.
- Liaises with the Project Head in all project’s financial matters.

Qualifications/Competencies required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience in the field of accounting and petty cash.
- Good analytical skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent command of the English language and highly developed communication skills both written and spoken.
- Positive and professional approach: highly organized, deadline conscious, able to work independently, using initiative, keeping commitments, and leading a team.
- Good knowledge of children’s rights.
- Very developed computer skills especially MS Office and Excel.
